Everyday uses

Common uses.

Bring a photo, signature or any picture to an exact size — precise pixels, a percentage, or a target file size such as 200 KB or 100 KB that an upload form requires. It doubles as a straightforward photo size reducer: pick your dimensions or a KB target, and the tool will minimize the file into that size without re-cropping. Nothing is uploaded, so your image stays private.

Good to Know

Common questions.

Can I resize in centimeters or inches?

Yes — pick Centimeters or Inches from the Unit dropdown in Pixel mode. The resize itself still happens in pixels internally, converted at 300 DPI (standard print quality), so a 3.5 × 4.5 cm target becomes exactly 413 × 531 pixels behind the scenes.

What are standard passport photo dimensions?

Indian passport photos on the online portal are 350 × 350 pixels between 20–300 KB; the physical print is 3.5 × 4.5 cm (roughly 413 × 531 px at 300 DPI). Each government portal has its own measurement — UPSC and SSC differ from IBPS — so instead of converting cm to pixels yourself, pick the preset for the exam or form and it locks the exact standard size for you.

Why a 200 KB preset?

Many Indian government forms (UPSC, SSC, IBPS, state boards, exam portals) require a passport photo or signature image under 200 KB. The preset hits that target automatically.

How does target KB mode work?

We keep your original dimensions and reduce JPG quality step by step until the file fits. If it still can't fit at low quality, we gently downscale dimensions until it does.

Does this keep transparency?

PNG keeps transparency. JPG does not — we fill transparent areas with white. Choose your format in the Format dropdown.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser — your image never leaves your device.
