Verified — Output opens cleanly in Microsoft Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice. Text-only — scanned PDFs need OCR.

Tools can make mistakes — please review the extracted text before sharing or using it in important documents.
Be honest about limits: this tool extracts the text of your PDF — paragraph by paragraph — into a .doc you can open in Word. Complex layouts, tables and images won't be preserved. For text-heavy PDFs (reports, ebooks, articles), it works great. For scanned PDFs you'd need OCR, which isn't included here.

Good to Know

Common questions.

Why .doc and not .docx?

We export a small Word HTML file with a .doc extension — every modern Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice opens it perfectly, and the page stays tiny instead of bundling a heavy .docx library.

Why are images and tables missing?

Pure-client-side PDF→Word can't reliably rebuild complex layouts. We focus on getting the text right. If your PDF is mostly text, the result will be clean.

What about scanned PDFs?

Scanned PDFs are images of text, not real text. You'd need OCR for those — coming as a separate tool later.

Are my files uploaded?

No. pdf.js reads your file directly in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
